The Hotel Royal Victoria is a four stars hotel facing the lake, situated in the historical centre of Varenna, a charming medieval village and one of the most appreciated tourist destinations of lake Como. Varenna is a peculiar village: it is a lovely and modern tourist centre in the heart of the lake transport net and at the same time it preserves its medieval aspect and atmosphere.
HOW TO REACH THE VENUE
Milan Linate or Malpensa airports (by bus) –> to Milano Centrale train station
+ Milano Centrale train station (by train) –> to Varenna-Esino
FROM LINATE AIRPORT TO VARENNA
Bus from Linate Airport to Milano Centrale train station: depart every 30 minutes from 6:10 am until 23:30 pm. The journey takes about 20 minutes and tickets can be purchased on Euro 4,00 per person. At Linate airport, you can buy also the train ticket to Varenna at the Trenitalia ticket office at the ground floor of the arrivals area.
From Milano Centrale train station to Varenna: take the train to Varenna-Esino (located on the railway line Milan – Sondrio – Tirano) and it takes about 50 minutes. The ticket office at the station of Milano Centrale is located on the ground floor, while the platforms are upstairs.
FROM MALPENSA AIRPORT TO VARENNA
Bus from Malpensa Airport to Milano Centrale train station: depart every 20 minutes, the service is active 24 hours. The journey takes about an hour and tickets can be purchased on board at Euro 7,00 per person.
From Milano Centrale train station to Varenna: take the train to Varenna-Esino (located on the railway line Milan – Sondrio – Tirano) and it takes about 50 minutes. The ticket office at the station of Milano Centrale is located on the ground floor, while the platforms are upstairs. In your way back, please note that the train station in Varenna-Esino has no ticket office: in the village, there are a travel agency and a bar that sale tickets.
